Good Water

Inspired by fast-food culture, the changing lifestyle on the path from communism to capitalism, I began to cast sundry recyclable shapes. Amazed by their minimalism and fragile aesthetic, so close to porcelain, I began to create a collection for fast people who kept their services locked up in cupboards at home and spent their days in offices, consuming food from instant, single-use design. I was fascinated by the fact that, by a mere change of material, one could draw attention to a shape that people discarded every day. Inspired by a natural passion for DIY (the cut-off bottoms of PET bottles are a handy universal substitute for any kind of vessel), I cast a series of recyclable design and suspended it in time in the form of fossils, in the noblest material of all, porcelain. www.qubus.cz
